How to use a Star Citizen referral code
The auto-apply link, the manual field, and the 24 hour recovery path.
Two ways to apply STAR-JTV7-FXLR: the one-click auto-link, or typing it into the field. Both end with the same green "Referral code successfully applied!" Here is exactly what to do, plus the fix if you already made your account.
Method 1: the auto-apply link (easiest)
- Open the pre-filled link
Click robertsspaceindustries.com/enlist?referral=STAR-JTV7-FXLR. The Referral Code (optional) field fills itself and the panel shows "Referral code successfully applied!". Note: this link only works for brand new visitors, an already logged-in account gets bounced to the RSI homepage.
- Create your account
Account name, email, password, date of birth, accept the Terms, click Enlist Now.
- Buy a Game Package of $40 USD+
The 50,000 UEC credits after the purchase clears. The Citizen Starter Pack at $45 is the cheapest that qualifies.
Method 2: type it in manually
- Go to the enlist page

Type or paste the full code with both dashes. Wait for the green "Referral code successfully applied!" before continuing.
- Finish and buy a $40+ package
Same as above. The bonus is in-game currency, added on top of the package.
Missed the field? The 24 hour recovery path
If you already created the account without a code, you have a 24 hour grace period. Sign in at robertsspaceindustries.com, open the account menu, find Referral Rewards, paste STAR-JTV7-FXLR and confirm. After 24 hours the option is gone and support does not reopen it, and once an account is linked to a referrer it cannot be changed.
If the bonus does not show up
Crediting is usually quick, but it is tied to the $40+ Game Package purchase clearing, spent in the pledge store, not counting store credit or gift cards. If you bought a package and still see nothing, check that the purchase was a Game Package (not just store credit or a standalone ship), that it was at least $40 USD, and that the code showed as applied before you enlisted. During big events like IAE the servers are busy and crediting can lag.
